Banyan Wing
Since first welcoming guests in 1901, the Banyan Wing has stood at the heart of the Moana Surfrider experience. Now thoughtfully refreshed as part of the resort’s recent renovation, the wing continues to welcome guests through the main entrance and lobby, which open to the iconic Banyan Courtyard. Updated interiors complement the building’s original architectural details while honoring its legacy as the birthplace of Waikiki hospitality. Guests can also explore the resort’s Historical Room and curated collection of memorabilia located on the second floor.
Restored Spaces, Historic Character
Known as the “First Lady of Waikiki,” the Moana Surfrider introduced visitors to Waikiki with its graceful Victorian architecture and welcoming spirit. Today, the Banyan Wing reflects a renewed expression of that legacy. As part of the resort’s completed renovation, the wing’s spaces have been refreshed with design elements inspired by Waikiki’s natural surroundings while preserving the character that has defined the hotel for more than a century.
