Great Room Classroom Set Up

Great Room

A modern and versatile space ideal for memorable gala dinners, celebrations and conferencing. The Great Room is a pillarless, 595sqm function venue that can accommodate up to 600 guests in a cocktail-style setting. With customised LED wall lighting and three LED screens for captivating presentations, the room also divides into soundproof thirds, ideal for breakouts or medium sized events.

Sun Deck

SUN Deck is W Brisbane’s iconic outdoor space located on level 4. Boasting over 450sqm of open-air space, guests are surrounded by city skyscrapers with views overlooking Brisbane River and South Bank. From vibrant sunset wedding ceremonies, supercharged music concerts, team building exercises to cocktail parties, SUN Deck is a fantastic outdoor space that can host up to 250-300 guests.

Strategy

A dedicated boardroom space for up to 12 guests – executive meetings, conference office or small meetings. Guests will love the natural light, views and private outdoor balcony.

Studio 2 & 3

Studio 2 & 3 can be enjoyed as a space for up to 60 guests in a banquet-style setup or be divided into two separate spaces, each suitable for 30 guests. Both rooms offer a private balcony overlooking the Brisbane River and are positioned at the perfect angle to view the sunset over Mount Coot-Tha.     Conference and Hollow Square
    Appropriate for interactive discussions and note-taking sessions for fewer than 25 people. Many hotels have elegant "boardrooms" for 10 to 20 people, equipped with full audiovisual capabilities, a writing board, cork board and a flip chart.
    E-Shape, U-Shape and T-Shape
    Appropriate for groups of fewer than 40 people. These are best for interaction with a leader seated at the head of the setup. Audiovisual is usually best set up at the open end of the seating.
    Theater
    Appropriate for large sessions and short lectures that do not require extensive note-taking. This is a convenient setup to use before breaking into discussion or role-playing groups because chairs can be moved.
    Reception
    Stand-up social function where beverages and light foods are served. Foods may be presented on small buffet tables or passed by servers. May precede a meal function.
    Schoolroom or Classroom
    The most desirable setup for medium to large-size lectures. Requires a relatively large room. Tables provide attendees with space for spreading out materials and taking notes.
    Ovals and Rounds
    Generally used for meals and sessions involving small group discussions. A five foot round table seats eight people comfortably. A six foot round table seats 10 people comfortably.
