A Celebration of the Maldives

A tour de force of marine-inspired architecture, The Whale Bar’s distinctive shape recalls the majestic whale shark. This whimsical but elegant retreat is elevated by light oak interiors, a refined bar, and a softly lit neutral palette. The venue’s cynosure, our traditional St. Regis mural, adorns the ceiling. A pyrographic masterpiece on wood by renowned artist Maya Burman, the installation depicts a father and son discovering a paradise of corals, fish, and plankton—a celebration of the Maldives' vibrant sea life. Our distinctive lounge opens directly onto an open-air terrace, where plush sofas and armchairs invite guests to admire seductive views of the sea and Vommuli Island’s immaculate reef.

Delectable Tapas and Signature Cocktails

Our experienced team of chefs work tirelessly to offer flavorful à la carte dishes as well as three- and five-course set menus. Specialties include garlic-marinated king prawns with white wine sauce and smoked paprika as well as salted cod with capsicum confit and roasted aubergine. Designed to please connoisseurs and dilettantes alike, our worldly array of cocktails includes the Island Mary, our signature interpretation of The St. Regis Bloody Mary tradition. Allow our knowledgeable sommeliers to recommend selections from our extensive assemblage of traditional and exclusive vintages. Iconic Meduse hookahs are also available.
